1. Acceptable Use
This platform is dedicated exclusively to academic, research, and institutional activities of member institutions in Burundi.
- Prohibited Activities: You agree not to use this platform for commercial advertising, transmitting malicious software, or hosting meetings that violate Burundian laws or academic integrity standards.
- Interference: Any attempt to disrupt the performance, security, or integrity of the server is strictly prohibited.
2. Account Security
- Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their portal credentials.
- Any unauthorized use of your account must be reported to your institutional ICT administrator immediately.
3. Intellectual Property & Content
- Ownership: Presenters, researchers, and educators retain the intellectual property rights of the slides, videos, and materials uploaded during a session.
- Content Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the files you upload and the communications you initiate during a conference.
4. Session Recording Consent
- Moderators may record sessions for educational replay purposes.
- By remaining in a room where recording has been initiated, you acknowledge and consent to the capturing of your voice, video feed (if shared), and chat messages.
5.Termination of Access
BERNET reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to any user who violates these terms or engages in disruptive behavior during sessions.
